TOUCH
"Writing about health care professionas' discomfort with and disavowal of touch, researcher and osteopath Bella Eacott describes a 'longstanding tension between distance and intimacy in medicine.' Touch is untrustworthy because it threatens the use of technologies and objects 'to stand in place of the clinician's own body' and the subjective and fallible nature of the clinician's perceptions, so it has become low-status. Denying the mutuality of touch, that it goes in both directions, maintains a hierarchiy: touch becomes something done to the patient instead of a shared experience that also a sensory and subjective one for the clinician. The patient remains an object to be acted upon by the subjectivity of the clinician." (Dreaming in the Fault Zone, Eleni Stecopoulos, page 116)

ENERGY
"I think about energy in this way: enlivening or consuming, it can't be consumed. It can't be accumulated. It isn't a quantity tht produces work, or fails to. The measure of the fire is melos, not count" ( Dreaming in the Fault Zone, Eleni Stecopoulos, page 94)
